I am getting annoyed at FB "friends" from my past that I attempt to tolerate or ignore. On occasion I talk back, like just now I posted I was annoyed that people who had put up tons of "its a hoax by the media" are NOW asking for prayers for the corona virus. Told them there wasn't enough testing - a direct result of poor management. Fucking prayers - wash your hands. And the one dipshit who asked just today said she was going about her normal business.
I’ve wondered, almost like a marriage.. we connected with those people a long, long time ago, but we’ve grown. If they’ve grown ..it often appears, sideways
I’d never made an attempt to run up my ‘friends count’ on fb, don’t know that I ever ‘requested’ anyone ‘be my friend.’ And though the numbers climbed anyway, I’ve shut off the feed of several, deleted some all together … and recently found that you can ‘pause for 30 days’ anyone (might be a useful feature around here)! ..so a couple are now paused. And if I wanna good fight - I need only come here
Just proves I’m right to never venture near FB!
I had a bunch of FB "friends" who were old schoolmates but were also idiots. Eventually I thought, would I be friends with these people if they lived next door? No. I thinned the herd on FB by 90%. Are people like that worth the time or the aggravation? We may have had good laughs years ago but times and people change. I saw no reason to continue to associate with them in a virtual world since I would not be associating with them if they lived nearby.
You could copy and paste their own earlier comments back to them, that should be fun.
( With the bonus that it will get you blocked by a lot of people, you would be better off not knowing. LOL )
I've already said pretty much this in my feed. My old students and liberal friends responded well; from them, I hear crickets. And for a few individuals I asked where did the hoax go to.
