Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I have yet to see this program, but have read much of Steven Pinker's work, and find myself in agreement with his analysis. Reading 'The Better Angels of Our Nature' blew my mind. Thank you for this recommendation!

It is a long video and actually does not pull any punches as far as religion as a huge source of violence. The show basically gives a history lesson of how things were much more violent in the past and that urban areas are much safer than more open ones. It also goes deep in our physical, mental and social make up as a major contributor to violence.
