Which nations are reporting very low numbers on Covid and how did they arrive there? One notable nation is Russia. Considering it borders China, (it does right?) what stops did the nation put in place? How did it arrive at this low number? Maybe not a lot of travelers?
I just found this

Now we are getting a taste of what the native Americans when the European immigrants came here with smallpox.
At least we know what it is and what we can do about it.
Right. It is horrible.
Russia was just late in getting started. They are currently on a list for changing rapidly:

Note that here in the US sparsely populated areas have been slower to become infected, and when they do become infected the growth rate is slower. Part of that might be due to less travel in and out, and less contact.
Siberia has a sparse population and not much international traffic.
Right I would think it's somewhat similar to Alaska and Canada.
We are all at different stages in the transmission of this pandemic...that is why it is really pointless to compare numbers. Some countries have done more testing and their figures of confirmed cases is more accurate. Underdeveloped countries such as Zimbabwe are showing low incidence of Covid19, not because there isn’t infection there, but because it hasn’t been recorded and almost nobody there has been tested. Russia may not be telling us accurately what the real position there is, but it is generally acknowledged that the entire population of the world will eventually be exposed to this virus, it’s just that if we can slow it and flatten the peak in each country we will be in a better position to survive it. If we don’t do that the health authorities tell us that our hospitals will be overwhelmed and they will not be able to appropriately treat everyone who needs to be. If we can slow it down by restricting contact with each other there is also a chance that a vaccine will become available, and combined with a higher proportion of people who have had the illness and survived, it will bring the herd immunity up to the required level of around 80%.
Right. Everything you say is true. But every country that is having success in keeping their numbers down is a model we must learn from.
I haven't had time to study the maps. What othet developed countries have very low numbers?
@Flowerwall Yes...I understand that. What I mean is can we rely on them to be accurate?
@Marionville Well of course we are asking that question of all countries in part. But we can only go by the info we have and use it to make best guess about stopping this virus. I should research on their disease response efforts, but ugh, I'll add it to my list of things to learn more about.
Quickly, found this

Looks like they had a low amount of travelers and used strict quarantines.
