Is anyone else finding a certain sense of satisfaction that the latest bruhaha is going to put a hell of a dint in the membership of charismatic cults?

I mean whatever god figure they use to get a bunch of people together, to get the money on the plate, while giving people a contact high, weeks or months off being able to assemble the suckers is going to put a dint not only in the income stream but in the ability to supply the naturally produced rush of association.

Dark times, I'me just looking for silver linings.

Be people falling away from those sorts or orgs like chaff from wheat in a threshing mill.

I’m surprised the/ our Republicans ..though maybe they have.. haven’t been demanding the fat-assed churches get some kind of government support … beyond not paying for any social infrastructure with taxes..

My Mother assumes these sheep will begin to doubt their god ..as it continues to allow them to die. Told her I’d heard just today some southern dimwit claiming this is due to ..someone’s sins … likely Democrats, Atheists or Liberals. Mom said, Oh..

It won't put a dint in anything. Disasters only serve to draw the faithful in. Just my observation. What we will be hearing a lot of is what a miracle it was that so and so was saved, and so on.

But new ones will spring up to take their place. Crisis begets the need for leadership, and some will more of the same
