Credit and blame. Trump and God.

This recently occurred to me. See what you think.

Trump has focused so much on who is to blame and who should get credit for anything that has happened during his term in office, and really, throughout his entire life. That is of paramount importance to him. He wants/needs that pat on the back. He can’t handle the idea that someone thinks he is not the best at something.

This might be why so many self-proclaimed highly religious people support him. It is a similar mindset to how they view their god. God must be given credit for saving people or allowing someone to survive a tragedy. It’s a miracle! He also should never be blamed for the disaster that did kill so many. He works in mysterious ways. (Total B.S. , but that’s not the main point here)

Trumpers follow him like sheep. Allow him to make mistakes. Forgive the unforgivable. And fawn over him for how great he is. They give him the same free pass they give to god. This is a dangerous, toxic codependent relationship.

Ironically, if Trump actually admitted things aren’t going well, or they may even get worse and last longer than he hoped, I would respect him more and give him some of that credit he craves so much. I want him to be successful in this crisis. I want a strong leader to guide us through these perilous times.

Unfortunately, I am convinced he doesn’t have the skill set to be the leader we need.

Your thoughts?

He can’t stand when it’s made clear that he’s deficient in anything, he already knows that. The difference between trump and a god is that trump actually exists.

Scared people look for bold leaders, the problem is, his followers can not tell the difference between bluff and strength.. Many support him because he’s allowed their pet issues to be shoved in the face of ‘their enemies’.. They are small, vindictive people, who live to watch the good among us suffer due to their ‘power.’

Their god is pretend, so they prefer trump! That’s why they ignore his hideous behavior; the ends justify their means … and trump is their means..

A combination of angry purists (sitting on their hands), a lazy majority ‘knowing’ Hillary would win, men tired of women … and any number of pet peeves (some legit) … and ultimately fueled by the same Industrialists who own the Republican Senate - promoted by Fox Propaganda.. and it was the Perfect Storm ~

We are on our own as far as depending on Trump to help us thru this.

Clearly. I like hearing from various governors who can deliver news and updates in a professional manner. They are comforting and calming.

@Tinocca I think even most of the Repub governors are trying to do the right things and not blindly follow Trump on this out of party loyalty, because they know that if things go bad in their state the blame will be put on them, not Trump. Never underestimate self-interest when it comes to most pols. The Repub governor in my state appears to be doing exactly that, looking out for her own political future.
