There's Naught to Do

The sun was bright, and the sky was blue.
When you loved me, just as I loved you.
But it's turned dark, and it's raining too.

As we grew old, and a rift grew wide
Between intentions and our daily slide,
We barred our hearts cause our love had dried.

If I'm to blame, then I'm unsure why;
Though, can't control all my feelings awry.
Sometimes I love, but I make you cry.

The sun's not bright, and the sky's not blue.
You loved me once, just as I loved you.
But now we don't; and there's naught to do.

Very good. ...and appropriate to thousands who can relate to it.

Thank you. I'm also trying to learn Ukulele during covid19. Something to do besides waste away.

@EdEarl Zounds! A George Formby in the making.

@Petter I'm trying to master the C major and A minor scales, and C major chords. My finger tips feel like a porcupine shot quills into them, and muscles in my hand feel like I shook hands with Hulk Hogan. Maybe one day I'll learn a song or two. When I bought it, I had no idea a Uke was an instrument of torture.

@EdEarl Ha ha ha...you forgot that our hands are not as flexible in old age! I am making mask with the sewing machine (that I have used for 60/70 yrs) and my hands are not the same today! You might try putting your hands on a heating pad before you practice. Or any thing to warm them up first. Have fun!

Deeply emotional! Excellent in my book!

Thank you. Something to do while cooped up during the pandemic.
