Cannot Religions, the 3 main Abrahamic based ones in particular, be classified as a somewhat 'Totalitarian, Pseudo-Fascist' Regime, belief system?
that is, for example, You ARE either with them at least 85-100% OR you ARE against them and IF you are against them then you will endure the wraths, persecutions, etc, as a result and at least 90% of us here have endured the wraths, etc, from at least Xrstians more than once in our life-time.
