Vote for one of these? I've been bored. Six pieces in a week.

#2 looks usable. The others will collect dust where I live.

Are you just being a jerk?

@PondartIncbendog Define “jerk”.

I like them all, but I keep going back to #4. No particular reason.

Top comes of to make a small pot.

What kind of wood?

@PondartIncbendog Birch, but with fungal markings.

What are these?

Pots to piss in. My dad said I'd never have one,

@PondartIncbendog then I like #7.

Great stuff!!! I liked them all a lot!!!

Which one?

@PondartIncbendog,
I voted for number 2 but I liked them all.

@Paddypereira That's apple.

Symmetry is ok but I find asymmetry more interesting.

I agree. Mother nature does a pretty good job.

That is called a natural edge bowl. Its a side turning with the outer bark left exposed.

@PondartIncbendog A few years ago I made four “unnatural edge” ceramic dinner plates. Also made four ceramic cups in sizes A, B, C and D. One woman took offense; another liked them.

@Allamanda I don't do oil. Seriously, I haven't tried that yet.

@Allamanda Which one ?

@Allamanda, @PondartIncbendog I often use two parts oil to one part varnish., it seals the surface but still gives a pearl/oil type finish, I rub it on with a rag while the piece is still spinning.

@Fernapple That seals and finishes? I use laquer, fast dry and my mix of oil, beezwax, and diatomic earth. Then yorkshire grit fine. Some refer to your finish as OB juice. I don't know why.

@Fernapple I've been told never use a rag on a wood lathe. It will snag. I've been using toilet paper.........kidding..........

@PondartIncbendog It can snag, but who cares, sometimes you have to throw your hat in the air.
