Can you do anything about it? Yes? Go for it! No? Why worry?

Our measures are not to eradicate virus rather than limit it, so the NHS will be able to cope, resulting in less deaths (including people who have other diseases and can't have proper medical treatment). We are doing so until we find a better treatment or vaccination again the virus. Why is that a bad idea?

Fear might be worse than death but it is not worse than dying from not being able to breathe from this despicable virus .

Many people fear death .... you should never allow a fear of dying to stop you living. There is more to life than an ability to suck air ,, even if you do it while doing nothing ... and most lives are completely empty just now

Our "fearless leader" Boris was all for the "herd immunity" course of action, until he caught it and then it was a very different story.

I agree that fear is worse than actual death. So far as the Coronavirus taking its natural course, remember that it is also natural for us to take care of ourselves as best we can.

It’s not so much the fear of our own death that frightens (except for those who have been indoctrinated into the stupid hell concept). It’s also fear associated with the possible loss of those close to us. Those fears can be exacerbated by dwelling on untrue associated thoughts.

From an overall, cosmic perspective, the epidemic is of no significance—it’s just the normal workings of nature. We ought to fight the best we can, and beyond that, just not worry.

Let it take its course was my thought initially but then I soon realised how bad this could get. We would all lose family and/or friends; also, here in the UK, the measures put in place look as though they are starting to work. The systems ordinarily in place for treating our sick and disposing of our dead are not geared up for the addition of between half and one million people in a short space of time had nothing been done. There would be dead bodies everywhere.

Fear is worse than death? If you die you won't be afraid anymore. Or, you can just not be afraid. Nonsensical. One has nothing to do with the other. Contrary to your possible belief, the virus is going to run its course whether you're afraid or not.

I go back and forth in my opinion of it.

Sometimes I want nature to take its course; sometimes I want to fight nature tooth and nail.

The problem is that hospitals and care services may be overwhelmed if the spread is too fast, then, with not enough beds, you could see people lying in the corridors without care to die, or in the worst case, the sick and dead left in the street.

Fear is worse, and quarantine is certainly no fun.
