-Yes, he is an MD, a psychiatrist.He is rigorous and thoughtful.
-The ideas he's discussing are exactly what the Presidential when-do-we-reopen-the-economy panel is going to weigh. Basically, deaths versus dollars.
-When the "acceptable" number of expected deaths gets to a certain point, Amerika will be back in business. Trumpie did exactly that early on, though he badly missed on his guess as to how dangerous the virus would be. I doubt he actually cares about say an incremental 1M deaths, but he does care a lot about the political ramifications. So acceptable deaths = open for business, as defined by trumpie's desire to be reelected.
