The states who are wanting to duck out of quarantine while the house is still on fire, I just noticed that the old Mason-Dixon line is a nearly perfect division between those states and the rest. Leading to all kinds of interesting possibilities down the road . . . .

Give this two to three weeks and we will see if this has been a good idea.

Your comment reeks of regional chauvinism.
One can find Moronovirus zombies in any part of the country, including your own.

And your comment reeks of a very angry boy looking for targets! And you eagerly attack (you cute little puppy you!) without having enough information to be accurate! "Regional Chauvinism" I was born in the South and have lived a couple of places south of the M/D line.

My comment reeks of a guy up late reading the headlines and musing about possibilities. My ego is far less involved in it that yours is apparently. The fact is - look at the top stories today. There is lots of talking of some particular areas being a lot more interested in defying logic and science and sacrificing lives for money.

Your map is not useful to the topic. We all know which were the Confederate states.

Do you have any references to back up your claim that southern states want to “duck out” of quarantine? I find no evidence that any particular region is behaving differently. All states are looking forward to ending their quarantines as soon as it is safe to do so.

What is needed in a time of crisis is mutual respect and unity. Using the Coronavirus as a vehicle for spouting political and sectional hatred is truly reprehensible IMO.

William, why are you a jerk right out of the gate? Ok, the map sucked - chill out angry boy. I was musing to news I had just read. Not trying to fulfill "political and sectional hatred". If you want to actually have reasoned discussion about the possibility of physical division happening in the states? Cool. But if you just want to lash out and belittle others? Go find another target stud. <3 <3 <3

@Observer-Effect And still no links? Just where did you read that news?

If you don’t think you are spawning sectional hatred just read all the responses to your post. How would you like to constantly read that kind of crap about your region?

If you feel belittled you are doing it to yourself.

And what is this talk about physical division? What the hell are you talking about? Are you being paid by a foreign country to write this stuff?

@Observer-Effect

“As we face this crisis together, it is imperative that we act in a spirit of solidarity and cooperation in order to provide for the pressing needs, particularly of our less fortunate brothers and sisters around the world. I hope and pray that in the days ahead, each of us will do all we can to create a happier and healthier world.“

@WilliamFleming "Paid by a foreign country" huh? You are a like a cartoon of a ideology? Are you a Russian or Chinese troll? I wasn't quoting any specific article you moron. I was responding to the news . . . major headlines. Its all over the place that Georgia and other states, mostly south, are talking of cutting it all short.

This isn't about politics, its about common sense. You are making it about politics. The virus has no political party. The idea that it could lead to more south/north division? There is no link to that, its me . . . thinking for myself. Try it sometime angry boy. 77 years old eh? You must be nervous!

One question, WTF are you doing in an agnostic group when you are a member of a very superstitious/religious group? Are you here just to do this?

@Observer-Effect It sounds as though you are the one who is nervous and angry, young man.

I enjoy interacting with this group because there are a number of intelligent and courageous people on here who have open minds and they spur thought and creativity. Any real forum needs a variety of perspectives.

I enjoy open-minded interchanges where there is mutual respect. Being verbally abused is also good in some ways—you are toughening me up mentally and spiritually.

Thanks.
