Does anybody know the median fatality age for Covid-19? World and USA. I can't find credible figures.

I do not know the world median. But the vast majority of deaths in my province is seniors 65+.

I gather median age is 70+ Older people are more likely to have underlying conditions. Younger people sometimes have underlying conditions. Needless to say Covid-19 is a nasty one. I'm just curious to know the median. It's an actuarial figure and they are rolling statistics. We'll find out when the smoke clears. I predict 100,000 US deaths. I hope I'm wrong but it might be more unfortunately.

No, but it should not be hard to work out. Just take any of the commonly available samples of ages at death and average the result.

Heres a link. Should not take more than five mins with a calculator.

If 47.7% 75+ That could be 75-100 and would make it impossible to get an accurate median age. I'm sure actuary tables are somewhere online. Thank you so much for trying.

@barjoe You could take the middle of each age range. It will only give you a rough aprox. though.
