Yeah so basically 12step programs and sobriety advocates need to step off me!
2 reasons:

even attending a 12step meeting can be used as waiving your 5th amendment by the courts and police (regardless of speaking during the meeting).

as a homosexual man the 12step participation is being used to draw a correlation between addiction and homosexuality on behalf of Alliance Defending Freedom on behalf of the current bigotted administration.
And personally, I have an equal right to engage in private adult responsible intoxicant use and am getting sick of the lateral fucking attacks on my liberty and privacy even when I am not engaged in any intoxicant activity!
So if you are a 12step member, a chemical dependency counsellor, orjust a christian asshole trying to lead atheists to monotheism via sobreity advocacy I am going to have to ask that you STOP FUCKING STALKING ME!
I support NORML and ending the FAILED DRUG WAR. Intoxicant use is a RIGHT, stalking, aggrivated identity theft and harassment are crimes!

Excuse me but here is the way the court works, if you end up in court or prior to that police and the court can use participation in AA as an admission of Guilt. It is annonymous in name only and sobriety is not the end all be all to health. Get your fake atheist bs off of me, people have the right to live the way they choose without being harassed by the monotheism cult of the higher-power!

I've never fully believed in the 12 stop program, although it has helped many.
I seems to me that they're not really trying to get anyone to be vice-free, they just want them to trade the societally unacceptable addiction for one that society approves and accepts... ie religion.
I've seen it and I don't agree with it.
I get that substituting a less harmful vice in place of a harmful habit is arguably a better choice, but I'm not sure religion is (ever) the answer.
Not sure the entire issue at hand, but I wish you the best.

I live in a state where the state motto is "Live Free or Die" in New Hampshire. I don't understand why other areas of the country as so intrusive and anti-LGBTQ.

First you need to admit you have a substance abuse issue because obviously, something got you to this point. If the courts are requiring you to go into therapy you DID something. Whether it is a 12-step or going into a partial hospitalization or full hospitalization program where group therapy and one-to-one therapy is part of the recovery process it sounds like to me you need to take control of your life.

Lol actually no I have done nothing, no arrest, no criminal background or anything like that. I am being targeted for being gay and atheist and they are attempting to use intoxicant use to encourage sobriety activity because they want to equate Addiction with homosexuality. I am merely stating my awareness of the tactic, expressing my NONConsent to FaithBased Treatment Conduct and Verbalizing to Warn Others, but you go right on with your victim blaming!
What exactly have you done to even be referred to a 12 step program for drugs or alcohol?

I have not been refered I am being Targeted after I called an LGBTQ nonprofit for assistance with domestic violence. They assumed I have a substance use problem because my fundamentalist parent hit me... It pisses me the fuck off!
@BuzzAlma if people are calling you that you do not want, then use an app like NoMoRobo or Robokiller. Then you just block the calls. And if you are living with an abusive person, leave the residence and go live somewhere else. If police asssulted you, get an attorney.
The apps work well, I get probably a dozen unwanted calls a day that are intercepted and I never see them. They maintain a block list of 800,000 numbers, and you can submit any you want into their database.
I cannot afford an attorney, I have moved but the same group of people are physically stalking me and it is not just within the same state or county it is across the United states....
It is messaging on social media apps I do not gibe out my number but i keep having to move and the persons/groups are attempting to force me to get help from christian organizations so they can engage in indocrination ... I am so fuckimg sick of this bullshit are their no atheist organizations that can help???
