Do any of you have a favorite Bible story or Bible character--or story or character from the Quran, Bhagavad Gita, or some other "holy book?"

For those of you who believe there was a Paul (Saul) of Tarsus--any idea whether Paul's letters were written first on scrolls and copied to codices, or written first in codices? Just curious.

I like the one where this guy comes from another planet to warn the people of Earth that they have to change their violent ways or this robot will turn the Earth into a burned-out cinder.

I liked the story of Jesus throwing the moneylenders from the temple, but it's hard to consider it a favorite story. Then there's this:

I'll admit to still enjoying the story of Joseph, possibly the best narrative in the Babble.

I love the story of Judith, not to be confused with Jude. She kills the enemy general and thus wins the battle!

the zen koans are generally reflected in the dhammapadda as well so I like those. especially the 6 blind priests story. very useful analogy. I also like the stories of the brihad aranyaka and the chandogya upanishads. they excel at these diatribes between someone and death.

Tom Bombadil was one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite holy books, The Lord Of The Rings.
I wish Tolkien had written more about him. The only other place he seems to appear is in an older poem, The Adventures Of Tom Bombadil. 😋

Yeah. It's impossible to get into a character without creating personal visualizations and expectations.
I'm a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft but I cringe when I hear about them making movies of the stories. Lol.😋

Edit: At least Star Wars started out with some visuals to center on. Ha, ha.
