It took them over 40 years and the gop has pretty much successfully dismantled the New Deal ideas and safe guards that came into being after the 1929 crash and great depression.
It has been the goal of the gop and it was Newt Gingerich who kicked it into high gear. Many dems followed by also signing onto the big money and lobbyist insertion. The consolidation of power at the top is nearly complete.
Think very carefully as you vote this November, not just for president but at your city, county and state levels.
