I'm beginning to hear that people I know have contracted the bug. no one very close but people I know in in the community. I live in a very rural area populated very much by the Redneck Covfefe Truck and Skoal Club. nearly 80% of the votes in this County were for His Travesty. the number infected by the bug reported here can be counted on your fingers and toes. if you go to town you will see every third or fourth person wearing a mask. every fifth or sixth person looks to be wearing it correctly. I suppose what I'm thinking about is -As the numbers of infected people may be on the rise in the local area will more people exercise some caution and common decency by donning their mask. of course we are deep in the Bible Belt and willful ignorance is a well established feature of people's approach to life around here. just hoping some of the folks around here get scared enough to use some common sense. a weird thing to be thinking about I guess but I'm out of Doritos and it's raining.

It is bound to take longer to reach rural areas, which are less connected, unlike big cities with multiple rail air and bus links. But when it does get there it will be just as bad, perhaps in the second wave, if people are casual in their behavior. Its later arrival in rural areas should not be mistaken for thinking it is only a big city problem, but it will be.

Living in rural Wenatchee, WA, only 25% of people wear masks. Selfish assholes.

What's the name for someone who lacks empathy? Sociopath.

Well when their actions can literally lead to death of other people we have another word for it... Psychopath!

It's the kind of person who snuggly brags that they could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and get away with it.

@hankster

"His Travesty" is a good moniker for the Orange Turd. Rhymes with His Majesty.

I live in a rural small town in downstate Illinois, and the cases are starting to increase here, too. Of course, her in Central Trumpistan nobody follows any kind of safety protocol and there is very little being done on the part of the majority to indicate we are in the midst of a pandemic. Yet.

I'm sorry, but redneck covfefe truck and skoal club made me laugh. I know 100% what that's like.
