*Just when I thought this country couldn't BE more divided, I looked today, and this was posted on facebook. And I'm sad to say, by someone I've known and liked for many years. This particular line stood out to me (like - no shit !) :

So...let me help you understand WHY the current narrative regarding "systemic racism" and the subsequent responses by citizens across this nation and around the world is NOT a "cause" to be supported by "Christians" nor ANYONE who cares about TRUTH:
Right now...there is a systematic and organized attack here in America.
We are presently witnessing the destruction of not only BUILDINGS and BUSINESSES...but we are NOW seeing the "cause" of "racism" being used to remove STATUES...SYMBOLS...FLAGS...ANYTHING that could be deemed to represent some form of "support" of "racism" or "slavery."
And...since MOST people here in America and around the world...ESPECIALLY within CHURCHES...do not even UNDERSTAND the issue of SLAVERY within Scripture...
...the time is coming when the Bible will be removed from every aspect of America...from HOMES...CHURCHES...BOOKSTORES...LIBRARIES...
...EVERYWHERE.
Did you catch that?
The BIBLE is soon to be ATTACKED on a level NEVER before SEEN in our HISTORY!
It IS going to happen.
Silencing SCRIPTURE is the GOAL...
...and Satan has done a MASTERFUL job at getting "Christians" to support his cause.
"Liberal Christians" are the most GULLIBLE of ALL human beings.
I remember when churches sought to boycott Walden Books back in the late 80's and early 90's. I REFUSED to join the cause.
Why?
The PRIMARY reason?
My Dad once taught me a valuable lesson...revealing to me this truth:
The very law that could ban PORNOGRAPHY could be used to ban the BIBLE.
ANOTHER reason?
The HYPOCRISY of it all.
You see...Kroger sold beer...the " MiniMart" where we filled our cars with fuel sold "dirty magazines"...and so on and so on.
So...just WHERE would we STOP with our BOYCOTTS?!?!
Folks...I do not HAVE to boycott SIN in SOCIETY...I only have to boycott SIN in my LIFE!
And...if EVERY "Christian" would do the SAME...then CHRISTIANS could actually make a DIFFERENCE instead of being just like the world.
Be sure:
EVERYONE should take a stand against RACISM...
...and...
...EVERYONE should take a stand against ABORTION...MURDER...RIOTING...LOOTING...
...and...
...against SIN!
But...joining forces with groups such as Black Lives Matter (BLM)...Antifa...and Planned Parenthood...
...as well as joining forces with those like Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan and every OTHER person who perpetuates RACISM and VIOLENCE every time they get a chance...
...is NOT being "loving"...is NOT being "caring"...is NOT being "empathetic"...is NOT being "Biblical" or "Godly"...
...it is UNITING with SATAN in the perpetuation of LIES and FALSE NARRATIVES.
The LIE of "systemic racism" is easily DESTROYED by the FACTS...and...the idea of blacks being "hunted" is absolutely ABSURD!
As LeBron James claimed:
"We're literally hunted everyday/every time we step foot outside the comfort of our homes!"
BALONEY! ABSOLUTE BALONEY!
Folks...NOTHING...no CAUSE...no PROTEST...NOTHING built on a LIE is EVER "for the good of society"...
...and neither is it GOOD and RIGHTEOUS and HOLY!
God is NOT in favor of those seek to IDENTIFY with Christ...those who call themselves "Christians"...UNITING with LIES...with RIOTING...with LOOTING...with perpetuating RACISM...with LAWLESSNESS!
Most "Christians" are doing NOTHING more than PANDERING to BLACKS...and TRUE "Christians" PANDER to NO ONE!
If you want to scratch "itching ears"...trust me:
Scripture CLEARLY stands to REBUKE you!
2 Timothy 4:1-5 I thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
So... attention:
It is time we stop WORRYING about OFFENDING the WORLD...
...and it is time we start WORRYING about offending GOD!
If you think the TRUTH will not be OFFENSIVE...then you do not TRULY even COMPREHEND the TRUTHS of SCRIPTURE.
Jesus said this world will be offended because of Him.
Matthew 24:5- 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

We can either DISCERN the TRUTH...or we can simply walk in a "form of godliness"...walk in lock step with those determined to bring about LAWLESSNESS in this nation and in this world.
So many "Christians" today are so FOOLED.
It is time we WAKE UP!
It is time we see THROUGH the FACADE of "protest" and "unity" and "peace"...all under a banner that APPEARS to be "good"..."right"...loving"..."caring"...
...and it is time we see with the eyes of the Spirit of God.
It is only THEN we will see that DEATH walks within the CLOUD of "protest" tod

Seems like a rather hyperdefensive stance in regards to religion promoting racism. Too little too late, cat's been out of the bag on that for decades. I wish I could say it's odd to see a Christian speaking from a place of such fear rather than love, but sadly it's not odd at all, it's the cornerstone of the faith.

So the victims of racism are the cause of racism? What a lunatic.
Blaming the innocent, the victim, is a foundational pillar of religions who believe in blood sacrifice. Believing that sin can be transferred to an innocent lamb, or person, has created a mindset that has been prevalent in society for a very long time. Women and children are raped and blamed for their own rape, they are sold and exploited like property. People of color and the poor are exploited and payed poverty wages, slave wages, to keep them in their place. It isn't strange that women and people of color are the most religious demographic, it was meant to be that way. While all the while there is an unreasonable reverence of an authority that is considered macho and dominating. And all the while convincing them that they will have a mansion or some ultimate excess in a heaven that hasn't been proven to exist. A perfect set-up for the few who would exploit others for their own benefit.

So many people simply re-post things that make them feel they are being a "good Christian" by doing so. Hard to just scroll by and ignore, which is what I usually do, though sometimes I say, "I disagree" or "Do you really think that? Every word?" My attempts toward getting folks to think a bit more before they post has been unsuccessful, but it's hard not to try.
By scrolling by, or hiding the folks who repost stuff like this, they get in the habit of reposting without thinking, with nobody disagreeing. These posts are created to be divisive - they are negative - with no positive message.
I sure hope we switch gears and divisiveness falls out of favor and working together in a positive and inclusive manner becomes the norm or at least the goal of our leaders.

I hear ya ! There are days when I wan to counter crazy stuff like this - hoping maybe, just maybe, someone will consider another angle.
Then there are those other days, when some humans seem way too far gone to ever reach !

I'm really examining how I feel. Before all this social media shit - most of us didn't know about, or discuss religion and politics much - if at all. Now we know way too much ! I've always been a "live and let live" sort - it's getting more and more difficult !
@evergreen I get it, but this is not about political differences. It is a difference in values.
When can one person ever fully agree with another? NEVER. If somebody is being a racist they are not thinking correctly.
