My goodness we've all been in, and had relationships that didn't work out for one reason or another.
Sure it's heartbreaking!
Sure it takes time to get over!
But really maybe some of you need tough love, because really I see the "Blaming myself", "Blaming the significant other", Blaming the world, etc. etc. etc.
I've seen the " I lost it all", the " I can't go on without him/her", etc. etc. etc.
I have to say the only ones I feel the least bit of sympathy for, or the ones that get the most respect for me are the ones that left an abusive (physical, or psychological) relationship, or the ones that have lost their loved ones due to death!
The rest of you may get over yourselves for goodness sakes!
You loved, and deeply (I presume), how very very lucky we all are to have had that!
I'm also going to presume that you were loved back as well if not better at some point in the relationship!
Could anything have been better (till the next one of course, then the cycle begins again)
What a treasure each woman I've had a relationship with was, what memories I've had, how deeply I've loved!
Sadness that they ended of course, I'm not without feelings!
Empathy for those that loved, and lost surely!
But this self loathing or feeling sorry for yourself ... man that's hard to fathom!
I get it when things, and pain are fresh, there's no time limit on healing!
But to blubber to the world the ole poor poor me thing I'm sorry that I do not get in the least!
I may not be happy that the relationship ended but I sure am happy that I was in it!
I never wait for anyone to tell me I need a kick in the pants to move on I give it to myself!
The next time I find love (yes I'm the eternal optimist) I plan on being the best person I can be ... just like every time before ... till I find the right one ... or not!
I say not because there are no gurantees, and I accept that.
There may never ever be another that I felt as strongly as I did my last love, and that's ok as well!
But I will never moan about a loss, I will never feel the need to get back at someone that hurt me (in a relationship is what I'm referring), I will treasure as I said the time we had, they will be blissful memories of true love because lets face it ... smiles ... it's always true love!
Now you all have a great day, or NOT!
Consider this the kick in the pants you've needed ...
You may now return to your regularly scheduled program!

Thank you!! All the wining on here makes me want to puke. We've all been there........one hopes we learn something, mourn a bit, and move on. Recently I even posted about an experience with an ex (stricktly platonic......I drove out of town and took him along and dropped him at his aging parent's home), but I'm not STILL wondering about it. Oy vey. Thanks for speaking what a lot of us feel. I can't/won't even read the posts you talk about because they just irritate me.
