For all you partners and co-inhabitants out there;
I have to comment. My late partner figured out a way to do dishes with a minimum of fuss and it saved a ton of water. Using a dishwasher, for her was a waste of time plus she did a better job than the dishwasher! When I did dishes, which I did when she was away, I tended to leave leftovers. So we traded jobs. She did the dishes and I dried and put away. I also did ironing and Windows - she hated Windows. Dishes were done on a daily basis so nothing piled up.
Now it's just me n I have to eat from dishes with leftovers!

Oh you don't know how correct this article is. When I was visiting a fellow site member one of our disagreements was over HOW to wash dishes and silverware. Will not expound on this any further.
My two cents, scrape off extra junk, rinse and place in hot soapy water as you work. Then when you're done with the meal, clean up is a snap. Since I rarely have a lot of dishes, it would take me forever to fill up the dishwasher.
wasn't allowed to do it that way.lol
We follow a "wash as you go" rule. Its the sight of the accumulation of all those grubby dishes that is so daunting. & who doesn't get a bit perturbed when the dishwasher is empty & no one bothers to put dirty dishes in it & instead will drop them in the sink for someone else?
It is, amd in my household, I create 90% of the dirty dishes. So, no excuses.
Hahaha. Need to send this in a message to every straight man on here.
