Thanks! Try to watch Henry Louis Gates Jr's documentary series, "Many Rivers To Cross"....it'll fill in some gaps, too. The longer I live, the more I realize we were NOT well-educated about US history!

Growing up in Europe I was spared much of the fairytale history taught in US schools.

@Barnie2years Curious...how detailed could they have been about US history?

@LucyLoohoo I actually learned more of European history, though they put their own spin on their history. It takes a little digging to get to the honest history in any country. It’s there to be found if you don’t want to just follow the pretty stories.

@Barnie2years I'd imagine that's true. Last time I was in Germany, I visited some museums which very openly talked about the holocaust, etc. I admired that effort and would love to see similar ones in this country.

This is a fight that still goes on and Trump is on the wrong side. Things haven't changed that much.
