That’s how they work - and what they get away with, even when they lose.. Unlimited campaign expenditures (thanks to Citizens United) allow the ugly side to work non-stop funding think tanks, oppositional research, hit pieces like that … right up through newspaper, radio & TV ads - along with owning the papers & broadcast networks themselves..
