Over and over again I've dyed everything but the item intended so I am really happy about this outcome.

I've ruined several things using Clorox for a Covid disinfectant. I hope the rest of you have been more careful. I may be clumsy but I was smart enough not to drink it.

Anyone else have a disinfectant mishap?

To be honest washing your clothes in just a little bit heavier detergent than usual is enough. You don't need to bleach your clothes.

I use white towels in my B and B and my last guest thought they should use my white towels on the dirty beach instead of the colored ones l have on the deck for them.

@Lorajay I'm known to be a bit "send a bill happy" when one of my customers damages something. That being said, I'd send them a bill lol

Thankfully we don't leave the house a lot so there is not a ton to disinfect.

However I used to have to disinfect where I worked with 10 percent bleach and water solution in spray bottles. I always had bleach spots on my clothing. It drove me crazy - to the point that I carried sweats in the trunk of my car so when I had to do cleaning I'd change out to already ruined clothing.

That's what I'd advise. Switch to "cleaning clothes" to do your disinfecting! Or wear a long apron.

Good job that you got it dyed back however. ❤

We have bee using lacquer thinner (90+% denatured grain alcohol). We add about 1/4 water because that's better to disinfect. The only mishaps have been removing lacquer lables from items.

Yes I once thought that I was pouring liquid bleach onto my bathroom floor to clean it. But I picked up the wrong bottle and poured out thick bleach instead, took me ages to dissolve and mop up the gloup.
