Hello All, from a lone Atheist in a small town in Wyoming. Is anyone else here in a 'rural' situation?

Ya, I'm in Spearfish, SD. Pretty rural here and most folks don't think much of my beliefs, but joke 'em if they can't take a fuck.

I am in a pseudo rural area in the most southeast county in Wisconsin. Surrounded by agricultural land, horse farms. Then Walmart is just minutes away in the flatland of Illinois. On my other property I am off (of) the grid. Hauling water gets tedious at 7000 feet above current sea level. The Colorado plateau was once & inland sea, evidenced by the braciopods & bits of red coral scattered around. Now it touches the sky. I live for the isolation. I often drive up thru Wyoming over to Spearfish South Dakota on the way to the Northland. Then there is Evanston Illinois as well as Evanston Wyoming.

Not rural, but small town. No Sears or JC Pennys and only 1 KFC, only Home Depot is twenty miles down the road.

Well gotta tell you, I am in a small town about 70 miles from the city, certainly feels like rural 'merica. Now, I feel obligated to say that people in this town is really really nice... I am just bored most of the time

Hi Dave. I’m definitely not rural, but I do feel like the odd man out in Louisiana. Welcome to our group!
