One thing is certain above everything else and that is: this madness will end soon. Because we all die. As Shakespeare said: "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more". A existentialist if ever there was one.

i think the hour has been devalued thru inflation to about 6 seconds.

As the mother of a son who took his own life...this is too close to the thinking that I feel may have brought him to his desperate conclusion to end things. I reject that philosophy completely...yes we all die, but in our proper lifespan, barring accident or contagion. It’s not our inevitable death that is important to the human spirit, but how well we live , and to the best effect on those whose lives we touch. None of us are an island and no matter how introspective we we may be in character, our lives are inextricably linked to those of other humans...even when in isolation and bereft of human touch, the human mind can be connected to another if they know that they are truly loved.

What madness? Everything okay?

Death, in terms of no longer existing in any shape or form, may be an option according to Ray Kurzweil. Maybe there a way to continue to exist albeit in a different form.

Well, if reincarnation is really a 'thing,' and I suspect it is, I hope I get sent to another planet next time!

As ash or rot, nothing more.

So no matter how bad things get at least we'll eventually die. Don't consider a career as a motivational speaker.

Well, "It is a tale, Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing". As long as know that and keep it real, we're that much better off for the knowing.

'True wisdom is knowing what you know, and knowing what you don't, and knowing you don't REALLY know the difference.'
Just now penned by a very wise man.

Ah, but this madness may only be replaced by another form of insanity, as our species seems destined to convulsively repeat the same mistakes.

We can only hope. I fear it may not come to pass.
