After 30 minutes of being online with T-Mobile chat I have finally learned that the estimated date of completion for their upgrade will be August the 19th in my area. Hopefully that means by August the 19th I will finally have access again to mobile data and voice calls without being on wifi.

Despite this ongoing month long debacle, I will stay with T-Mobile because their foreign service access is phenomenal. I can text and use data for free often just walking around a city. All the other carriers want at least $25 a month.

Are any of you T-Mobile users in other areas having similar issues?

Different continent, but I have "3" Pay As You Go. It costs 1p per megabyte for data, 2p per text and 3p per minute on voice. That means I can call most of Europe, North America and Asia, and speak for 20 minutes, for £1.($1.30)

I pay $45/no for a phone for me and a friend who's even poorer than I am. I'm not sure what the issue you have. You can't get bars?

They are working on the towers because they have merged with Sprint and they say they're upgrading everything to 5G. For the last month when I am not on Wi-Fi and I try to phone, text or use data i get a message that says no mobile data connection availsble. That usually happens when I am about a mile from the inter state where there is a tower but whwmen I finally get to town I can sometimes get a mobile connection.

@Lorajay Oh wow! 5g. You should be up by 19th? That's awesome!

@barjoe I only hope I have less dead spots
