My little brother is at prom right now. The autistic kid I mentioned? I'm so proud that he has found someone that likes him and went to prom with him. I never had a date to my own prom, so I am glad he is having a way better school life than I did.

Awesome! My 12 year old grandson is autistic, and really his only friends are other autistic boys at his school. I was a very shy, introverted kid, and never had many friends either, and never dated at any time through my school years, so obviously the Prom was out of the question, too. I remember I sat home that night and watched TV. But I was thinking about the Prom, too, and how everyone was socializing and having so much fun. Oh well.
