I thought this was fun when a friend turned me onto it. Does the description fit, Austin?

@crazycurlz Pretty accurate if you ask me.

I am a Skeptic. WTF!. Aren't we our personality? Isn't seeing yourself reflected in your personality redundant?

I'll start a discussion somewhere else on how the Myers-Briggs test is bunk. because I realize you posted this in "Silly, Random & Fun. 🙂

hahaha it's just an ice breaker, ailurophile. I do this, too, with the Silly, Random & Fun category: jump into the fray, ready to rumble. You can interject your bit on the Myers Briggs bunk right here, too. I won't take it as a personal assault. Personally, I think things like this are a hoot if not taken to heart! 🙂

@crazycurlz That's a relief! I have a tendency to open my mouth before I've considered all the ramifications of what I'm going to say. You'd think that writing things down in a discussion forum would give me more time to think, but noooooo.... I have Adult onset Smartarsery Syndrome.

Almost every time I take the Myers-Briggs test, or variations thereof, I get a different result. This test, I came up with "Campaigner" ENFP, -A -T I'm looking at what the minuses mean now.

@ailurophile lol well, look at that! a diagnosis right out of the DSM: Adult onset Smartarsery Syndrome. Takes one to know one. 😉 You are PASSIONATE, ailurophile! The world needs more of that, not less! The flip side is ALSO very important for a healthy world: you concede when you've made a mistake. We need more discussion in the world. And sometimes with discussion, we err. To err is human. And, I am preaching to the choir...
Anyway, always nice to run into you here.
AH! My bf of 10 years is a Campaigner! All I know is he's immersed in the total Artist lifestyle, brilliantly creative and traveling in his own orbit that revolves around...himself! The total Artist package.

@crazycurlz Heh! I was not a class clown in class. Were you? I guess I'm making up for lost time. I was pretty goofy outside of school, but so were my friends.

Thank you. The feeling is mutual. I suppose the "o" in onset should be capitalized. My shrink doesn't think I have CDO.

I grew up in an environment where passion wasn't encouraged, and now I live in New England, where I first heard the expression "Tell us how you really feel", not as an encouragement, but as a putdown.

A few years ago, (maybe 10?) I ran into an Australian online who I couldn't stand at first... and then I started listening to what he had to say, and trying to look at things from a different angle than was my norm. Very helpful! Previously, I had some grounding in critical thought... I took debate and was on the debate team in high school.

However, it's all too easy to get hardening of the orthodoxies. I'm trying to tread that thin line between having an open mind and having a mind so open that others can hear the wind whistling through.

You can preach to me anytime. I'll sing along!

@ailurophile reading your stuff is like reading...Stand up Comedy! hahaha. They will capitalize the o in onset once it's approved for DSM 2019. I am submitting that dx for publication

I was so painfully shy as a girl, but, giggled a lot and smiled all the time...still do. But, no longer shy, not reserved, not aloof...ah, introvert, yes! but... only when I'm not being an extrovert. We are all so complex!

Ah, the Architect. You and Elon Musk!

ENTJ or ENTP depending on my mood.

so, The comander Harrison Ford or the debator Mark Twain. either way, you are a tough adversary
ENTJs are characterized by an often ruthless level of rationality, using their drive, determination and sharp minds to achieve whatever end they’ve set for themselves. Perhaps it is best that they make up only three percent of the population, lest they overwhelm the more timid and sensitive personality types that make up much of the rest of the world – but we have ENTJs to thank for many of the businesses and institutions we take for granted every day.
True? lol

@crazycurlz yes

@jperlow and you own it...that's impressive. Know Thyself, huh?! cool

@crazycurlz I have to own it. I’m google-able because I write for a highly visible industry, there’s no point in hiding behind anonymity for me. My writing persona is the same.

well, then, I've added a part B: do you see yourself reflected in this personality?

@crazycurlz only on certain occasions

@lbusche you must also have a more subdued side, then, too.

@crazycurlz indeed

Logician (INTP-A)

well, then, Petter, I've added a part B: do you see yourself reflected in this personality? I think they're playful generalities

@crazycurlz I do love "illogical logic". Crazy conclusions achieved by applying logic. I also spent the part of my life between 21 and 46 years old working on, designing, and problem solving logic circuitry on elevators. I must have been reasonably good at it - I became the technical manager for all 6 nations of the company's East Africa zone.
However, I also, simultaneously, became the company's zone sales manager, and running the two operations requires different thinking!

@Petter you have such a fascinating history! It would appear this personality loosely suits you, too. In general terms...
Have you retired?

@crazycurlz I have retired in that The Spanish government pay me a monthly stipend, as does the American multinational for whom I worked in East Africa. However, retired in other ways - No!!
My profile gives a little of my past, but I do have a partly written autobiography (I believe in the motto "Procrastinate NOW!" ) The bio is on my web domain at
[mojacar.ws]
(I wrote the entire website using the Windows Notepad, rather than a dedicated app. For the pool results page, I taught a spreadsheet to write HTML. I'm crazy that way.)
