Earlier today a suggestion was made for contacting your congressional representative about delaying the appointment of a new Supreme Court justice. IF enough people write postcards as suggested, the pressure will have some effect. If you write postcards to all the listed representatives, including a thank you to Sen. Murkowski, you will write 23 cards. (Monster Mitch was skipped.) If you write a thank you to Susan Collins that would be 24. An amazing friend compiled a list of their own words from 2016 to put on postcards and she has addresses. She has done the work. Please write to these senators!

Don’t even think about replacing the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg, just 45 days until our next presidential election. During the Merrick Garland Nomination, you claimed there wasn’t sufficient time to vote, and that was eleven months prior to the election. You must remember it, after all, it was named, “The McConnell Rule.” Follow your own rules and hold the SCOTUS nomination hearings until 2021.

I also wrote a thank you to Senator Murkowki, because she already took a stand and said she would not support filling the vacancy before 2021.

My only concern is this not interfere with mail-in ballots.

I'll try Chuck Grassley and Pat Toomey. Grassley is retiring and may do the right thing just because. Toomey is my senator and will be up for reelection. He may think it would help if he got enough postcards.
