Trump does not care about dead people, they don’t vote. And he has it in his mind that most of those dying live in Democratic run states, so it works in his favor. What his thick head has trouble wrapping around is that many of the sick and dying are elderly Republicans and the states where the numbers are growing fastest are Republican run states. If the numbers really take off in the upcoming month, he may lose much of his base, either from COVID-19, or who’s family members died from it. Hope springs eternal!
