So... 45 has covid, Pence was exposed a few days ago, even though he tested negative today, it will be several days before he's cleared as a confirmed negative.

Who takes charge if they both go to hospital?

That won't happen. What could happen is enough GOP senators could be put down to delay Barrett nominating. This is if Schumer has the balls to ask unanimous consent for every vote that come up between now and election day. It's only 4 weeks.
