Dogs also hear very well. My dog runs outside,barks and gets all excited when I drive up in my car. He totally ignores all other cars.

Dogs see very poorly, they mostly go by smell and/or hearing, so they know it is you without seeing your face. Every try to hide from a dog with treats on you?
