This is so typical of American corporations. Franco's armies were carried by Ford trucks and his German/Italian supplied tanks and planes were powered by Texaco oil. The fascist could not have defeated the Spanish Republic without American oil.

I read long ago that there would be less corporate crime if corporate officers were put on trial for their actions and, if found guilty, imprisoned. The same essay said that corporate officers may see a prison term as a duty they owe their corporation.

As I recall, the film maker Michael Moore referred to corporations as sociopaths.

“Justice” Lewis Powell, appointed to SCOTUS by Pr,esident Richard Nixon, paved the Court’s path to the Citizens United ruling that so corrupts politics now.

That corporations aided the Nazis doesn’t surprise me.
