It's too bad we don't have an option for a profile song on here, myspace style this would definitely be mine.
I will change my mind, but right now, it's this one:
Love it!
Hahaha! Girrrrl, you a problem!! ??? There might be a couple of us that that song would fit to a T. Lol
I know, right? I like to think of this as the anthem for women going after the GOP to take 'em down
@Blindbird, I'm in!
I'm getting old because I probably would have liked this song 25+ years ago, but now all I can see is a woman promoting a serious attitude problem. What is her problem? Men treat her like an object, yet if they don't, then that's a different problem. So I guess the song is, lust after me but don't act like you're lusting after me? Help me out here guys, because I'm turning into my grandparents.
Okey dokey then. Have a nice life, gramps.
Coming back to this because this mind set infuriates me. Where does she state that men treat her like an object? Where do YOU get off lusting after her and judging her at the same time? Her clothing choices aren't your business.
News flash: people can dress in sexy outfits for one particular person, or just because they like it. A woman looking appealing is not an invitation. Just because you do lust after her doesn't mean she created or is responsible for that feeling. Your feelings are your own responsibility.
I'm going to guess her problem is most likely people who take her musical and clothing style(among other things) personally when it's simply an expression of who she is or wants to be.
It's a brave new world grampa. You see someone who looks appealing? Look, maybe shoot your shot, if the answer is no, keep walking. Why is this such a tough concept?
@Blindbird Ouch
@paul1967. Honestly man. Thats some sexist shit.
@Blindbird I don't in any way disagree with any of that. I was talking about the lyrics. I have no issue with what she was wearing, and I understand people have the right to feel good about what they wear. I also have the right to have an opinion and express my opinion. I thought I did it in a relatively benign way. You are free to rip me a new ass for my opinion, and I have a right not to like it.
@paul1967 you are entitled to your opinion and the song is highly sexual.
However I sincerely doubt it was written with you in mind or that she even knows you. Is it aggressively sexual, Yep. Is that some kind of personal attack on you? Nope.
It's not an accident that its appealing to ones "baser nature" but hey, that's what sells and she probably does feel that way about one person in particular.
Again, unless you know her, it's probably not you.
Also attitude problem is highly relative. Do you take issue with "eye of the tiger" or "I wear my sunglasses at night" ? I bet you don't but its the same attitude. The difference is that this is written and performed by a woman.
@Blindbird Honestly, I don't care about the song. I wasn't trying to be sexist or an ass. It is what it is, and I'm just going to let it go and move on.
@paul1967. Great. So why'd you feel the need to complain in the first place? Somebody call Pops a whambulance! he's offended by this song.
@Blindbird I say this with respect and I don't know how you will receive it, but I'm going to say it anyways. You're attacking someone who has not attacked you, and I have withdrawn from the disagreement. You have in the past been someone I had respect for and I'm disappointed that your not letting go of this disagreement. I respectfully ask that you stop attacking and agree that this isn't worth discussing any further. I will leave you to your business and I will not purposely respond to any of your future posts.
@paul1967 good.
catchy and you can dance to it
Exactly. Plus I really dig the tag line ?
