We are not a country of laws as we like to claim. It took just one recalcitrant person to just say, " I do not recognize," to bring the whole system down. Albeit, he was President, but we keep saying that no one in this country is above the law.

We are about to experience another legal check point. trump is refusing to cooperate in the transition and exchange of critical information. He refuses to accept the validity of the election.

We say that come January 20th that he won't have a choice. He must vacate the WH. But what if he just flat refuses to recognize like he did the numerous subpoenas.

Its trus as of noon on Jan. 20, the Secret Service are no longer obligated to protect him as the extant Presidrnt. What if he refuses to leave, and Secret Setvice are conflicted becoming placed in a catch-22. He must be protected as he is a previous President, yet he is officially no longer the legal resident of the WH.

Then will he push legal precedent even further by pardoning himself and his family? Failing to accept that legally he is not allowed. Will the powers that be just shrug and allow it to happen? Or will he resign the week befor Jan. 20 so Pence can take over and pardon thevlot?

I assume after the results of the Georgia Senate runoff races in early Jan. he will temporarily quiten down. At that point he will begin taking care of the law suits that will pusue him upon leaving the WH.

Pheeew this madman wants to cause soooo much damage to his own country just because he lost an election!!! 🙄🤐

Unfortunately too true. We need a Constitutional Convention to redraft and shore up the weakness in the Constitution that the Founding Fathers never envisioned. Starting with tighter controls on the Presidency and a re-evaluation of the Electoral College.

Pleasant read! Thoughtful analysis! Great questions!
...We are also not as free a democracy as we like to claim. We are also not as intelligent as we like to claim. We are also not as humane as we like to claim. We are also not as special as we like to claim. On a planet where truth and reality are perpetually distorted, and fantasy and falsehoods are commonplace, we can expect anything. After all, we got a universe from nothing - and it gave us trump - brace for impact!

That's what some of the Americans say that live and work here. ...well at least those that I'm acquainted with.
