As someone who prefers minimalist design in architecture, I love this house by George Suyama. Early on he identifies the need to avoid "visual noise", something all too common. I could easily live happily in a home like this.

Presented by one of my favorite, YouTuber's, Kirsten Dirksen.

I don't think people are ready for these houses yet.

I would love to live in a house like this, though to your point they are not for everyone, or even most.

This place is awesome! He made it feel so open and expansive without taking up tons of space. I was skeptical from the end-side appearance, with the offset, white-block aesthetic, but once shown the interior I was hooked. I would love to live in a house like that — but it's not practical in NNY where I live. Still, the basic concept might be adaptable to a colder, snowier climate.

a lot off thought and past experience went int o it

I admit...I don't get the tiny house thing.

I don't call this a tiny house. It is plenty big.

The original house is on an island served by the Washington state ferry system so wonder which island it is on. Still, it's size doesn't look minimalist to me. I am a fan of the tiny homes movement (even though my home is not tiny). 550 sq. feet is not really tiny and this house seems much larger with high ceilings and two floors.

I think the floor is 550 sq ft, it seems there are three levels.

@dalefvictor Still that's1650 feet.

Another if only!!!

Too many are forced to live in a minimalistic lifestyle without their inclination or consent😄!!!

Love it, the symmetry and asymmetry; the views; the agricultural feel of the outside and polished industrial style interior. The rhythm of the stairs was actually my favourite interior feature 🙂

It’s beautiful, unique and inviting. Very artistic, I d kill for the land

That's a nice house, but would it be as nice to have thousands of them packed together as in a parking lot?

It was designed to be in the woods. I would not put it in a City without doing something with the glass. Looking out can be fun, having people looking in is not so good.

The exterior textures! The view! But "very simple" if you are a millionaire.......

@StarvingArtist the lot alone was probably a million.......
