@Lorajay Some of his apppointed lower level judges will do his bidding. As Anne above wrote, higher level judges are more picky.

Neil Gorsuch on the SCOTUS has already spit in Trump’s face in the Bostock case, which stops employment discrimination against homosexuals and transeexuals.

Amy Barratt, Trump’s newby on SCOTUS, in Wednesday’s NYC Covid in churches case, has already shown herself a clearer thinker than either Chief Justice Roberts or Governor Cuomo. (Will explain later if comments warrant.)

@AnneWimsey I’m preparing a talk I will give on the case and am reading the SCOTUS ruling closely.
In short, though the churches and synagogue had been operating safely, with no infections, Gov. Cuomo limited them more severely than nearby secular activities. They sued and Cuomo changed their zoning to let them continue operating as they’d been doing.
Barret and the conservative justices, except for Ch. J. Roberts, could have dismissed the suit but wanted to tell Cuomo to respect the First Amendment. Roberts and the liberals wanted to dismiss, let Cuomo tighten the rules again—requiring the church and synagogue to sue again.

I hope this happens, Georga becomes Democratic, and then the Senate is even and the VP gets a vote to break any ties. With Moscow Mitch not in control, there is little he will be able to do to stop any investigations of Court Appointments that need to be made. I hope once the Republicans are out they can be stopped from ever gaining control of anything again. I know I will never vote for a Republican again.
