Very sad news this morning of the death of Dave Prowse at 85. At 6’ 7” he was a gentle giant of a man and is best known for portraying Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies. Prior to that he was known to us here in the U.K. as the Green Cross Code Man on the TV Road Safety adverts of the 70s. Here he is on one of them ....speaking in his own voice which had a distinctly Bristol accent...nothing at all like that of James Earl Jones!
