Getting your morals from a god is as infantile and immature as being a 5 year old needing mom to stop him from eating the cookie before dinner. The mature and responsible person does not need a 2000 year old outdated book to have morals. The mature individual gets his or her morals from within; that person IS a moral person. Those that need to get their morals from outside them ARE BY DEFINITION IMMORAL. But more in regards to the story: the premise is false; god did not create atheists because god does not exists.

I love this one. I have said that many people of faith do good things for the rewards that they expect to receive or fear of punishment from god - whichever god they worship. I as an Atheist, do not expect a reward nor fear punishment from a benevolent non-exiting being. Atheists do altruistic deeds because it is the right thing to do. We do not need a god to be moral beings. Of course the argument begs the question, where do Atheists get their morality?

"Act as you would want all other people to act towards all other people. Act according to the maxim that you would wish all other rational people to follow, as if it were a universal law."

Emmanuel Kant

And that begs the question, does that sound like your next post?

I think that story is right on track. Actions are always more telling than words alone.
