This is amazing! Built of stainless steel from scratch in just months on the sandy beaches of southern Texas, not the snail's pace of NASA using endless public funds in sterile high-tech facilities. Elon Musk's first full-featured "Starship" is planned for a test launch on either Monday 12/7, or Tuesday 12/8. You'll either see it fly and land in never-before-seen manner for re-use, or as Elon describes it, a fair chance of a RUD... a “Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly”... an explosion or crash, in layman's terms. No matter... there are a half-dozen more being built just a few hundred yards away. Worth the price of admission to see either.

Isn't it amazing what people can do when standing on the shoulders of others?

Sounds silly, wait for the first and learn and improve surely? Already building more of the prototype may prevent necessary adaptations being made for the second launch.
I don’t care how fast you are, you’re still wasting resources if you don’t give yourself opportunity to learn from your mistakes.
