Well, that unexpected phone call just brightened up my day no end.
For those who remember 'Bel' and her recent troubles/battles with Gender and Catholic School, she just told me that, " The Protests held at her old school by her friends and class-mates have had some unexpected results, families, and increasing, have now WITHDRAWN their children from the Catholic School here and have enrolled them in the one of the PUBLIC, Secular Schools for next year."

If you don't know what you like, you will never know who you will love. (An ancient Chinese saying that I just made up.)

Just like "Man with hands in pockets is feeling nuts."

Hope the school goes under.

Well according to statistics it student intake and student numbers at Sacred Heart Infants, Primary and Secondary School since 2010-2011 have been steady but not as good as they were in the 60's through to the 90's.
In the 60's they usually had approx. an annual intake of 20-30 new students into the Infants Department and an average of 250-300 students in total at the school.
Their 2019 intake was a mere 9 new students to the Infants Dept, and the sum total for the whole school had dropped to 247 students overall.
So given an average of 2 school aged children per family that have/are withdrawing their children from the school next year are numbering at 17 and increasing that means a probable loss of 34 students from ALL Departments atm and even more if the increase of families withdrawing their children keeps on happening.
Plus given that parents ARE required to pay between $1,500 and $2,000 per Semester per child plus ANY and ALL extra fees, expenses as well, I'm kind of thinking that maybe Catholic parents are beginning to feel the financial pinch as well as the School's low Education Ratings, etc, etc.

So .... statistically speaking, that increases the odds of those left behind to be abused by the clergy??

Sadly and most unfortunately yes I suppose.

But there may just be an 'up-side' to it, IF these student withdrawls continue on as they seem to be doing then there may a chance that the Catholic School will be closed down permanently here.

Wow! That's great to hear!

That is excellent!

Yes it truly is imo.
More children, hopefully, will begin to learn Truth and Facts, etc, etc, and the parents will find that they have a lot less School Fees to pay compared to the truly exorbitant ones charged by the Catholic School.

@Triphid Paying to be told absurdities and lies always struck as very peculiar behaviour.

@anglophone Imo, only to be expected from the Catholics.
