I painted these. This is old fashioned China painting. You just don't see anyone doing it anymore. I started learning then found out others in my family did this in the past! The top one was a pic of a Christmas card I got one year. The bottom one is a normal pattern. That's real gold fired on the last firing. It was eight firings and that's normal for China painting, it gives depth. The glaze softens, the paint sinks, and you do more to it each time.
