My impression concerning this site is that two sorts of posts dominate:
links to videos/texts, or memes.
Where are all the people who are able and / or willing to post their own thoughts?

when going to a potluck, some bring homeade, some bring storebought, some "to go", but it all eats. Of course the homeade is likely to go first unless it sucks.

Wir sind immer noch hier, Matias. I share you thought. I see too little that really means something.

Having learned that many people like to answer the questions they ask others, what thoughts do you want to post?

Maybe there's a feeling that the message will be more acceptable/less open to criticism if it comes through somebody famous.

original thinking seems a rare commodity around here these days.

@Wisterious if you are on the path you are already there, it just becomes finding your place on the path where you are content with the view.

@Wisterious the broad and varied nature of your interests, and no doubt questions, makes me think you will take many trails in your lifetime. reminds me of a notion that consciousness is tied up in universe the same way matter and energy are. anyway there are science groups and a science forum on the site which were once teaming with real nerds, just kidding, but they sounded knowledgeable. i don't know what has become of those groups. i haven't been in them for a long while. sounds like an interesting quest....endocrinology...hmmm...🤔

@Wisterious a more practical response: once a college advisor, if you want to learn those things, im sure classes are available somehow, but the pre and co reqs are not a few nor casual classes for most folks. And that is not a path overly available to "discussion ". have you been looking at textbooks and stuff?

@Wisterious wow...solid stuff you've studied and I've enjoyed that pbs show a long time ago. there is nothing quite like mans arrogance, insecurity, presumption etc to create a sense of knowledge that doesn't begin to exist. we need to "know" so badly we believe we do. i think that "need" creates the inflexible views or posistions some adopt as absolutes. i admire your thoughtfulness and curiosity. i myself am too lazy, and the comprehension of it all is just too much for me to juggle all at once. so, i have settled comfortably back into the "just don't get to know everything chair" and will accept what understanding comes. I'm not too interested in a consensus, and i think science is a long way off from any explanations when it couldn't recognize god staring it in the face. actually, i kinda am enjoying the mystery without the answers, they just take the fun out of it for me. wondering is fun. i love your curiosity tho. i do like to wonder.

@Wisterious if i might respond to your conjecture about guardian angels. IF "awareness/thought" continues....becoming a guardian angel is just one of an infinity of infinities of possibilities for its continuance isn't it? what would be the conditions for its existence? does it need air? does it need community? does it need space? does it share dimensions with time? is it self-aware or part of a larger aggregate of identities? how would it .....nevermind. i've learned that question infinity is bigger than answer infinity. takes the pressure off.

could consciousness exist shifting thru dimensions we aren't observing. lol..maybe dimensions without space. fun but futile i reckon, or am i just being boring?
