The ego
the ego is a very powerful thing
i just realized that it may have so much to do with why in the fuk people would pray to a god
i feel as if ive been enlightened with that thought
question is : does the ego overpower the ability to use critical thinking?
is this dumb?
i get silly when i get spiritual maybe? i mean high when spiritual is silly seriously tho
Where my head was at is more like the fact that most people are unable to control the ego
so its reasonable to assume that they don't try to recognize the traits and behaviours of it and just accept "as is" in the established place of self which can and does include many personality/status/health/religionetcetc
the ego is seldom ever questioned yet alone rationalized
omg i did it again vapin at noon
i like everybodys words here thnxyall
Ego is the Masculine force. It must be balanced with the Feminine/nurturing force
I quit religion and I fight it around me wherever possible. Unless I am a writer, thinker, media person to broadcast thought, analysis... I don't see much value in figuring out the whys behind this tons of bullshit. I have left it behind and am trying to make a difference at my level by speaking against it. I do not think anyone will ask you to give you a long theological analysis because most people hardly understand it.
Just like the Catholics say that you must bring in at least one person to church to accept Jesus, I say let us at least convince one person to leave religion.
Ego tells me many things in my teens and twenties. Ego is you. It's who you are. As you get older the ego should adjust in ways that get you back into reality and critical thinking. For some of us this does not happen. Ego can make you a superman, or a stupid man. Most people are somewhere in between.
Ego is a sense of self. I’m not sure it would make you more or less inclined to consider a non existent entity as necessary for your life; that seems to have a lot more to do with geography and upbringing.
I sometimes thing a strong ego can help you question and break away from others, including a church. That’s when real self assessment comes in; if you’re not one of the sheeple where do you fit in?
@Thirst2learn whatever turns you on. From my point of view their are no Marists left. Marx was a progressive, but Marxism stagnated after his death. Like Freud, his terms provide useful points of reference for modern Culture; like for your attempts to pigeonhole anyone that’s not you as Marxist, socialist or Communist. Even if they are just humanist/ believe in minimum rights for all.
@Thirst2learn I see you still haven't sought psychiatric help for your delusions. Got yourself so qanon'd up you can't even see.
@Thirst2learn then you don’t know much about Marx. By the ‘70s he didn’t feel he was a Marxist himself, going by the French Movement.
@Thirst2learn well there are always extremists about. I remember talking to some so called Marxists at a festival once, they were very engaging and I spent some time learning about what they thought, but I certainly don’t agree with it.
Sometimes it’s good to have people shaking things up: but bloody revolution? No thanks. A lot can be done within a Capitalist framework as far as I’m concerned.
well said!
i love it!
