@barjoe Yes quite serious, both in a message and several comments, if I remember right.

He was a very sad damaged individual. He came here originally, to sell some woo, as I remember, ( He was a grand wizard, or some such thing. ) based on the worn out old idea, that if you have no god, then you must need woo. He did not, of course, get any takers, and some of the members were quite harsh, for which he had a little sympathy from me. But he then convinced himself that, nearly all the members perhaps, were not true agnostics but gnostic atheists who were lying about their true views, and he then started his campain.

@Fernapple He was here for a long time though. He's a nine. He's got like 400K points. That's a large commitment to pose for research. I believe you, I'm just saying.

@barjoe True I think that he gradually changed over time, though he did make a lot of posts so maybe he rose quickly.

I am an avowed Atheist. I liked the guy though, he posted funny stuff.

@barjoe did he tell you about how atheism to linked to fascism and Qanon, and other such things, all because of the evils of gnostic atheism? Perhaps he liked you and spared you that. Well he didn't like me and the feeling was mutual.

@David1955 Well I think he blocked me. I remember telling him that I never heard of a Gnostic Atheist until he called me that, but I'm just an Atheist. I don't believe in anything.

I have never blocked anyone, but with him I was tempted.

He chastised me last week for my usual claim of being atheistic atheist. Lol. He chaffed at the fact that I gave no credence to agnosticism, let alone gnostic atheism -agnosticism.

@barjoe he is tone deaf to all such reasoning. I don't think I've known any other member so guilty of projecting. He reminded me of religious people, stamping their feet and repeating over and over again what they believe.

@FearlessFly I had never blocked, was tempted, and succumbed to to it. It felt good, ill tell you.

@barjoe A lot of his 'funny' stuff sadly had a hidden agenda, to forward his crusade against gnostic atheism. He would post stuff such as. "Do you believe in fairies ? In order to get responses that he could prove were inconsistent with peoples, views on god. Peoples views on god as he chose to strawman them, that is. I believe that he is going to write a book, ( he said ) expossing the failings of atheism which he had researched on this site.

@Fernapple yes, and I'm sure there is a huge market in books on atheism written by kooks.

@David1955 I may have been one of the things which pushed him over the edge. He posted a poll, which was quite shamelessly designed to return false answers. I took him to task about it in the comments, when that failed I made this post,
[agnostic.com] which I am sure he saw and must have known refered to him.
