This morning, in Mojacar village, I was stabbed by a masked man wearing gloves, who was wielding a pointed instrument.
I'm pleased to report that my second dose of vaccine was even less troublesome than my first, trouble-free vaccination.
I had my first vaccine shot earlier this week, and it went very smoothly In true island style, they had live music in the observation area, which was very enjoyable. Many of us were moving our arms around, so we didn't get sore. I'm hoping my second dose goes as smoothly, though I hear from friends I should expect more after effects, so I'll set aside a couple of days.
Congratulations on being safe.
I was "made safe" many years ago by a surgeon!
After my first stab my injection site felt like I had been slugged in the arm. My older brothers used to do that to me when I was a kid, any place that the bruises could be covered. My middle daughter got her second stab on Friday, and on Saturday was reporting headache and lethargy. and the pain at the injection site. I will take that over COVID any day.
I had the BioNtech vaccine.
Agreed, discomfort trumps Covid.
It still amazes me how we can drive to someplace we’ve never been before and let some person we’ve never met, and about whom we know absolutely nothing, inject some unknown substance into our bloodstream with a needle... and not only will it be OK, it may very well save our lives.
The primary medium of exchange among humans is trust. If we destroy that, we will have signed the death certificate for our species.
