2nd dose of the vaccine yesterday.

Woke up this morning with no sense of taste and smell, a low grade fever, and some achiness. I know it's my immune system working. Taking the day to rest.

Sorry you had a bad side effect from it. I get my second dose tomorrow. I am excited to finally get it.

I got my second (Pfizer) last Wednesday and the only side effect was some drowsiness the next day. I guess I got lucky. I hope you feel as relieved as I do to get this done.

@linxminx Yes it is. Peace of mind is worth a whole lot.

A strong immune response is good even though it's unpleasant. I haven't heard of loss of smell from the vaccine though. I hope you're feeling better soon.

What would eating beets do?

@barjoe lack of tasting/smelling them was my thinking.

@hankster You don't like them? Beets don't have much of a smell and they are deliciously sweet. They stain badly that's all.

@barjoe i do not like beets. i do not like them in the heat, i do not like them in the sleet, i do not like beets. have all you want. ✌

@hankster I like beets. I like beet salad, beet relish, cold borscht, pickled beets, Harvard beets. Everybody doesn't like something. I don't like okra. I don't like hairy anchovies, that's all I can think of that I don't like.

I had 2nd Moderna Friday.
Achiness, low-grade fever Sat, all good since Sun. 🙂

Good if your system responds strongly. I got the fever too, but mine was very strong for about four hours, did not get any other symptoms though.
