WAGGING THE DOG?

Who here thinks that the Gaza conflict is created by Netanyahu to deflect attention from the investigations against him and he losing majority in the third election in a row? Remember, Netahyahu stays as the PM of a caretaker government until a stable government is formed or a national crisis is over.

Hamas need not have started firing rockets from Gaza, and this provided the largest escalation. But, yes, the evicting of Palestinians could have been arranged by Netanyahu. However, even this could have been Israel's periodic punishment for refusing peace. Does it matter? How much sympathy should one have for combatants that use their own children as human shields?

How about the Kurds, the Syrians, the Yemenis, the Afghanis, the Nigerian famine victims, and all the pandemic victims like the Indians? Many others are far more deserving of attention. ...but not as exciting as explosions and rockets being launched...

The usual reason most wars start, is because a politician can't solve the domestic problems, and needs a diversion. That is why Putin is restarting the cold war.

I had that exact thought this morning when the news said they will be unable to form another government until the crisis is over.
