Are atheists really any different from anyone else, except perhaps a little more intellectually honest? Don’t most people in their depths realize there is...(sound of a gong)

I am able to say some things that are far more astounding than that though!

Didn't you know we atheist have all sold our souls to Satan, gather on a new moon to eat a freshly broiled baby with new potatoes and mint sauce, we are debauched drunks and like to chant "we hate God" while consuming the blood of goats we have previously had sex with while we worship two hundred foot tall idol of Christopher Hitchen.

You obviously have not been reading the newsletters.

Atheists are as diverse as the religious. To me, being a humanist, I find it essential to have personal values and goals to aspire to. I want to be the best sort of person I can be, not for the hope of an after life, but for simple altruism and making the most of every day I have

I ma not sure that anybody is the same as anybody else I have met some really damaged people who were wonderful adn clever and funny and some people who had everything and- were bored with their life - I think its a funny old world and we are what makes it funny - I have known people whose brians were as big as a planet and couldn tmake thenselves a slice of toast - I just think we are all weird but differently.

I naturally agree that we humans are all unique. Not sure how damaged I am, but I think I generally fit the wonderful, clever, and funny category! Ha I haven't 'had eveything' in the sense you put it; however, if I may use the word, I feel very lucky and 'blessed;' moreover, I feel anything but bored. I definitely do not think my brain is 'as big as a planet,' as you put it; therefore(?), I am able to make toast (in fact, I just made some.) I certainly agree with your assessment that 'it's a funny old world and we (and possibly other species) are what (mainly) makes it funny;' although, it is extremely funny(?) to me that anything exists at all! In addition, I cannot argue with the point that 'we are all wierd, but differently (soπŸ˜‰ however I somewhat question your use of the words 'funny' and 'wierd' in the context of the universe, because (for me anyway) it tends to beg the question, 'compared to what?' Look forward to your reply, should you decide to grant one. Best regards, Thomas (or, if you wish, Tom)
