Sunday morning early I was driving home from Saratoga County. Route 29 was nearly empty. I grabbed my lipstick from my purse and started applying it, peeking a look in the back mirror ever so often. Attention: if you are a traffic policeperson , this only happened for a second or so.. I can put on lipstick without looking.
Actually. this time I was not very precise. Lipstick everywhere. And my favorite commercial of all times flashed in my brain:
Little girl, curly haired is in front of the mirror, putting on lipstick.
Her Daddy says: " What are you doing?"
Littlre girl, without stopping, says: I'm putting on yipstick.
"Yipstick ." says her father. "Is that your mom's?"
""No, that is my yipstick" says the little girl, smiling impishly.
"Yours" says the daddy. " Where did you get it?"
" I bought it,"
"Where did you buy it," asked the dad.
" I bought it at Home Depot"

Even just remembering that commercial made me laugh out loud. I served and only barely missed the ditch. I wonder why I have not seen that commercial in such a long time and why Home Depot did not build on its success.
But then I remember, I do not have network TV anymore.

By the way, I stopped by the side of the road and put on my lipstick correctly.

I am a lip balm person. No precision necessary, so eyes stay on the road. I recall that scenario you mention, but do not recall it being a commercial. [facebook.com]

Eating porridge, and reading maps while driving, also not recommended. Passing on information from a friend. LOL

If I apply anything while driving it is chapstick, and colorless. I wear chapstick all the time. Or almost all the time, today I actually have lipstick on.

Yes! Chapstick & dental floss are Never out of reach!

I’ve been guilty of applying lipstick as I drive too...but only on the odd occasion, and without looking in the mirror...honest...one hand on the wheel, both eyes on the road, I promise! 😁😅
