Desperation leads to sad & terrible things. And greedy bastards making lots of money.

Remember, the makers may not make any money and all can be government funded and free to people.

More faithfools grasping for hope that a miracle cure has been found.

This is just a less bizarre story, there are worse stories from all corners of that land.

'The plural of anecdote is not data', where is the science for this "miracle drug" ?

No science. Some places in the world do not follow science. The Christians in the American South follow the Bible, not science. They are refusing vaccines based on science and only following pastors of their churches.

It is classic Snake Oil for desperate people.

@AnneWimsey

Except it is government sanctioned and distributed here.

@St-Sinner kick-backs are not a possibility??????? LOL in a sad way.....

I've read that poster twice and I have no idea what the point is or what they're selling. It may as well be written in Coptic or Sanskrit or some other dead language for all the sense it makes.

Sgt, Which one you did not undersrand? The strips on the right side? I can translate all for you. The graphics and text may not be clear but it is all English. The word "Crores" is confusing but I will explain.

This is about a temple in South India of the God "Tirupati".

Tirupati is actually God Vishnu in the Hindu trinity who protects the world in the life cycle --- while the other two Brahma the creator, Mahesh or Shiva is the destroyer or one who keeps the life cycle.

In Dravidian translation, Tiru means the sacred or Goddess Lakshmi and pathi means abode or husband. Tirupati (Tirumala) is referred to as Pushpa-mandapa in Acharya-Hridayam (13th century).

What does the graphics say?

"Tirupati Temple Trust (TTD) that manages temple money recorded a whopping $1 billion in cash collections (money that people leave at the deity or in donation boxes) in the temple last year. The temple has 14,000 permanent employees with a pension fund of $120 million. It has gold reserves of 52 tones of 24 carat gold ornaments which are deposited with the SBI (State Bank of India)."
